IPEDS Executive Peer Tool (ExPT)
The purpose of the IPEDS Executive Peer Tool (ExPT) online software is to mirror in a web application the IPEDS Data Feedback Reports which are prepared for presidents, administrators and others. The ExPT allows users to modify peer groups and analyze peer comparison data in a simpler, more intuitive, and user-friendly design. The ExPT was designed to whet the appetite of policy makers and others for peer analysis data, so that they will consider using other PAS (Peer Analysis System) tools to collect more data and conduct further analysis. The first ExPT was released two years ago and the 2005 version is currently being developed by HigherEd.org as a subcontractor to Westat. Several HR variables are available in the ExPT.
The ExPT is one of several online tools HigherEd.org has built for IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System).
