To assist your institution in the process of gathering information for data collection, as well as creating and
submitting the file to SCHEV, the following resources are available:
- Technical Assistance – Pertinent information that will help you create your TPA data file(s)
for submission is provided here. In addition to information previously made available, electronic
versions of the data dictionary have been added to assist you in linking the support tables to the appropriate
fields in the data file you must populate for submission to SCHEV.
- Case Studies –HigherEd.org has prepared a document containing case studies to help understand the different
approaches schools can take to prepare the student data which are currently being collected by SCHEV
for the TEAL II Teacher Pipeline Application (TPA). There are several key issues presented that help define
which approaches are most effective under which circumstances. Recommended effective practices are also suggested.
- FAQs – As various schools raise questions regarding the TPA data collection, both the
question and answers will be posted here for your reference.
